In this Fishing the DMV Podcast Jared Mounts and long-time friend Steve Morris share their canoe adventure mishaps on local rivers over the years. Jared had his eye on a shiny new Indian River canoe at Sparks Sporting Goods in Martinsburg, West Virginia in the late 90’s. With a little extra money in the bank, the decision to buy an engagement ring or canoe was weighed as all good decision makers do. After careful consideration, the green 17-foot canoe was strapped to the top of the pick-up truck! This canoe served its purpose on many bodies of water including the Potomac River from Damn 4 to Shepherdstown, Sleepy Creek, North Fork of the Shenandoah River, and a handful of trips through the Trough! Join us to hear about their adventures on the water including the final resting place of the ole Indian River Canoe!
